He is a farmer, Christmas Tree grower, property developer and has founded Pedlars, The Good Life Experience, Glen Dye Cabins and Cottages and a farm shop, cafe, pub and two wedding/events businesses. He is a podcaster and the author -with his wife Caroline- of the Family Guide to the Great Outdoors (Penguin Random House) and Do Team (Do Books).

Dr. Freddie Baveystock is passionate about language, culture and learning. Having worked for two decades as a brand consultant, consumer researcher and copywriter, he is now an English teacher at Harris Westminster Sixth Form, and regularly blogs about the books he finds most worth reading. Freddie used to work with us at the Nest many years ago and we collaborate on the occasional project together now, including helping us update our website in early 2021.

Department Two

Department Two is the creative partnership of Arran Cross and Fern Merrills. Arran is a photographer and filmmaker. Fern is an experienced art director and creative consultant.

Together they work on creative projects for clients who appreciate the value of good work, creative thinking and an obsession for detail.

Their studio is based in Sheffield, UK.

Sarah Shepherd

Sarah has worked with Gail and Tamsin on a variety of creative retail research projects over the years and, in turn, they have worked on creating the graphic identity of TrendPulse, the online service for the interiors and style industries she co-founded with Sally Nettleton in 2014.

Her newest venture is Anart.Cuirm, founded in 2020 with fashion stylist and friend Nancy Rohde. (ANART is Scottish Gaelic for CLOTH and CUIRM is Scottish Gaelic for FEAST.) Their idea is to bring a new narrative and a creative exploration of modern craft, pattern and colour for the table with plans to create new ranges of table linen designed and made in the U.K.
